Orthopedic physical therapy

Orthopedic physical therapy for bones, joints, and muscles

Orthopedic injuries — from a torn rotator cuff to a knee replacement — respond best to a plan built around how your body actually moves. Our therapists get you back to full strength, safely.

What is orthopedic physical therapy?

Orthopedic physical therapy treats injuries and conditions of the musculoskeletal system — bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. That includes post-surgical recovery, sprains and strains, tendon problems, arthritis, and back and neck pain. A therapist evaluates how you move, then guides hands-on care and exercise to restore strength and function.

Insurance-friendly & Medicare

We accept most plans and verify your benefits first.

What orthopedic PT helps

Post-surgical recovery

Structured rehab after joint replacement, ACL, rotator cuff, and other orthopedic surgery.

Shoulder & rotator cuff

Impingement, tears, and stiffness that limit reaching, lifting, and sleeping.

Knee & hip pain

Arthritis, meniscus and ligament injuries, and post-surgical recovery.

Back & neck pain

Disc, joint, and muscle-driven pain, plus posture and mechanics coaching.

Tendon & overuse injuries

Tendinitis and tendinopathy around the elbow, hip, knee, and ankle.

Sprains, strains & fractures

Rehab to rebuild strength and motion after a sprain, strain, or healed fracture.

How orthopedic PT works

1

Movement evaluation

We pinpoint what's driving your pain and how it's limiting you.

2

Hands-on manual therapy

Joint and soft-tissue techniques to ease pain and restore motion.

3

Progressive exercise

Targeted strengthening that rebuilds the area the right way.

4

Dry needling when it fits

Targeted relief for stubborn muscle tightness, paired with your plan.

Your first appointment

Your first visit is an evaluation — history, movement testing, and your goals — then you usually start your plan the same day. Plan for about 45–60 minutes.

How long a plan of care runs

Many orthopedic plans run one to three visits a week for a few weeks, longer after surgery. Your therapist sets expectations at the evaluation.

Locally owned

The people caring for you are your neighbors, invested in this community — not a distant corporate chain.

Questions

Do I need a referral?

In many cases, no — and we accept most insurance and Medicare, verifying your benefits first.

Is this the same as sports therapy?

There's overlap. Orthopedic PT covers all musculoskeletal injuries; sports rehab focuses on returning athletes to their sport.
